Bob Dylan & Joan Baez - Deportees (1976)

I once picked cucumbers in Northern California while this songs lyrics ran around in my head. It was the Woody Guthrie version though. It's a song I often play on Paltalk when we have our music nights. The words of this song have just as much meaning today as they did when Woody wrote it. I have always supported the migrant farm worker and now they need our support more than ever. It's a hard life and back breaking work. I don't know what they make per bushel of cumbers now but back then it was 25 cents. BTW - Enjoy this version of the song, I did when I saw it performed during Dylan's Rolling Thunder Tour.
