E-mail From SpiritofTheRuins on Racism

I think, at some point, it might be a good idea to address racism, giving examples of it, real examples, on your blog. Today, I was in arwen's room, and Hot2Speak entered asking the room to address Imus' comments regarding the 'all girl black (basketball i think she said) team..calling them whores, nappy haired...etc and getting away with it. This team consists of YOUNG girls..not that it would be accepted if they were adults. She asked people to write msnbc, call, etc, and immediately, got hit with, by chatters, calling her racist. Then Jungle referred to her as 'darky' and said it was ok because Hot said 'it will take all white people to change this'.

Last week I read on the news, a white guy murdered, dismembered, then burned pieces of a black male's body and hid the charred pieces all over the place. That white man got 10 years in jail. If it was the other way around, you and I know, the black male would have gotten the death penalty.

I don't understand why Caucasians get twisted when called 'white'. Do they get twisted when they refer to earth colored people as 'black' or 'Indian'? Do they believe thier news anchors are racists when they say 'Black' or 'Mexican'. Do they shout at the tv the way they shout in paltalk? I think not. They are conditioned to refer to people of earth colors as black, indian, mexican and a host of more derogatory slurs..and think nothing of it. But damn should a black person or native person use the word 'white'....a flood of negative emotions pour in.

The brain dead believe USA is the land of the free, equal rights, and all are considered equal. Their ancestors believed that as they hung young men and women, african and native, as an after church activity, praising god as their lifeless bodies swayed. And that twisted take on what freedom is is what we have today......all is ok as long as the white man is safe, as long as the xian is safe. And no white man, woman, or child gets the same court judgement as an earth colored man, woman or child..and we are seeing it more and more...especially in the south. No surprise there..after all, this is the evangelical bible belt of the nation.
