Loreena McKennitt - The Lady of Shalott

The Lady of Shalott from The Idylls of the King by Alfred Tennyson is the tragic story of Elaine of Astolat and Lancelot and it's one of my all time favorite romantic story poems. Loreena McKennitts interpretation is excellent, this video is the short version. I started studying the Arthurian legends when I was a young man. A few movies that I like on this epic story are, 1.The Mists of Avalon, the book is better 2. Excalibur 3. King Arthur - a lot different than all the rest I liked it 4. Merlin - Story all wrong, special effects good 5. First Knight -although it stars Sean Connery and Richard Gere the story line sucks, never saw so much perfect armor in one place at one time.
